2026 WASZP North American Championships | Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, Halifax, Nova Scotia
The 2026 WASZP North American Championships return to one of Canada’s most iconic sailing homes, the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS). Founded in 1837, the RNSYS stands as Canada’s oldest and most storied yacht club, a true breeding ground for champions and innovators in the sport.
Tucked away in Halifax’s Northwest Arm, this legendary venue has been the launching pad for America’s Cup challengers, Olympians, National champions, and now serves as the headquarters of the WeCANFoil program, a national hub for foiling development and performance.
This year, the Squadron will once again take center stage as it hosts the WASZP North American Championships for the second time, welcoming sailors from across the continent to race for the coveted title.
Coming right on the heels of the WASZP Canadian Championships in Bedford Basin, this back-to-back schedule creates a two-week foiling showcase unlike anything else in North America. From the flatwater speed of Bedford to the tactical challenges of the Arm, Halifax will deliver the perfect blend of world-class racing, local hospitality, and unforgettable atmosphere.
History. Speed. Community.
The RNSYS has it all and in 2026, it’s where the next North American champion will be crowned.
