Join the IOW swarm for a bank holiday weekend of foiling adventure!

Racing on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May.

Saturday start time around 1400.

Sunday start time around 1030.

There is club racing available on Sunday evening at 1700 for those staying until Monday!

Royal Victoria Yacht Club is a really lovely spot and you’ll be sure to have a great time. Bring the family and enjoy the bank holiday on the island! The bar will be open and the kitchen serving dinner. With evening high tides, the club lawn is a great place to be. We will have at least 7 WASZPs from the island and can’t wait to welcome visitors.

If you are planning on bringing a vehicle over, it may be beneficial to team up with as many other sailors as possible. Sailors will receive a 20% discount on ferry costs thanks to our partners Wightlink.

We can offer sailing rallies to WASZP over from the mainland to the club. The club will support the rallies with RIB cover. The closest and most accessible starting/finishing point is Stokes Bay. Sailors would need to leave their vehicles and pack their trolleys, spares and overnight gear into the RIBs – what an adventure. Proposed rally times are:

·     Friday evening at 1800

·     Saturday morning at 0900

·     Return monday morning at 0900

There is accommodation within walking distance for those without vehicles. There is a campsite 20mins walk away from the club that costs £10pppn.

The Isle of Wight swarm is ready to welcome WASZP sailors! Some may have spare beds available and at the very least, we can supply tents and we can offer lifts to/from nearby accommodation.

Although the extra ferry crossing adds to the cost, we will do everything we can to bring the overall cost of the trip down with minimal entry fees and cheap accommodation. This has the makings to be a really great weekend for those willing to brave the ferry or cross the Solent by foil!
