What is WASZP?

The WASZP is the world’s most popular one-design foiling dinghy. Designed by Andrew McDougall, it makes foiling accessible to sailors globally at a fraction of the cost of other classes. WASZP provides the premier platform from first flight to high-performance racing.

Every other sanctioned event — where most sailors start.

Rolling, by rig

Sailors are ranked separately for each rig size. Only events from 2026 onwards count.

Best 6 results

1 x Tier 1, 1 x Tier 2, 2 x Tier 3 and 2 x Tier 4 events count — a lower tier can always substitute up.

Results expire

Tier 1 until the next Games, Tier 2 after 18 months, Tier 3 & 4 after 12 months.
