How the rankings work
International WASZP Games — the pinnacle event.
Continental championships — Europeans, Asia Pacifics, Americas.
Major domestic events, EuroCups and national championships.
Every other sanctioned event — where most sailors start.
Sailors are ranked separately for each rig size. Only events from 2026 onwards count.
1 x Tier 1, 1 x Tier 2, 2 x Tier 3 and 2 x Tier 4 events count — a lower tier can always substitute up.
Tier 1 until the next Games, Tier 2 after 18 months, Tier 3 & 4 after 12 months.
